1.    Start with a small bag. Pack wisely and use the space well – fill shoes with rolled up socks or underwear. Roll up casual clothes and tuck into small areas.

2.    Mix and match. Plan on one different outfit each day. Pack interchangeable pieces based on one basic colour and plan to wear each piece more than once. Pack clothes that you love so that you feel good wearing the same things but many times in different combinations.

3.    Choose items that pack small. Fine wool or cashmere sweaters pack smaller than windcheaters. Several lighter-weight layers can keep you just as warm but pack smaller than a bulky coat.
